Traditional Batik, just did some circles in white, yellow, and teal. The yellow and teal mixed to make a cool green color.

Oooh! I like this! I know nothing about Batik, so is it a fabric? Do you frame it or wear it? Sorry to sound so ignorant. But I think it's beautiful.

It's regular cotton fabric that you do a wax resist on. So I heat up wax in a crockpot and paint it on, first you wax everything you want to stay white, then vat dye it yellow, dry, then wax everything you want to stay yellow...etc. In the end you iron off all the wax and wash it so its fabric again. And this particular one I just did to test so it'll probably wind up being a baby doll blanket. But right now I'm batiking pillow cases with my family's initials on them.

That sounds like a really cool process! And the results are really interesting. I love the final look. Sounds like a great project! You could sell personalized pillow cases and things, too...

I was hoping to do wall hangings for nursery's and kids rooms. Parents will buy anything.

It's true. That sounds like a very lucrative plan.
